Background:
Matthew graduated with a medical degree from The University of Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. He then moved to Australia and completed specialist anaesthetic training at Monash Health. He then sub-specialised in cardiothoracic anaesthesia including echocardiography through a fellowship at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Matthew has expanded his skill set over the years with masters degrees in research and perioperative medicine and diplomas in education and clinical ultrasound.
