BACKGROUND

Dr Raffy Halim completed his medical degree from Monash University in 2008, having already decided on critical care as a career. His anaesthetic training was undertaken at Monash Health with a varied fellowship working with CareFlight and Royal Flying Doctors throughout Queensland and tertiary level paediatric anaesthesia at the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in Perth. Having received his qualifications he currently works as a staff specialist at Western Health while also working at a variety of private hospitals in Melbourne. While he has a broad interest in all types of anaesthesia, his specific fields of interest are paediatrics, thoracics and regional anaesthesia. Outside of clinical work, he is a reviewer for the Journal of Mobile Technology in Medicine and an avid photographer.
